Collection: Erik Staub

Erik was born in the 1970s with a passion for dinosaur toys and sculpting. As a teenager, he began to draw and paint. At the same time, he picked up photography, in order to create reference photos for sculptures. In 1992, Erik participated in his first large project, creating maquettes for 3D animations.

This experience led to being hired as H.R. Giger’s apprentice and sculpting assistant, where he worked on several movies and art projects. Later, he worked on animated films for the advertising industry, creating a vast number of album covers and set designs for bands. In 2000, he became creative director at a local TV station.

He also designed merchandise for Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings, Resident Evil, and Guild Wars. In 2008, Erik joined Crytek as a lead character artist and, later, became a producer on Crysis 2, winning the Red Dot Design Award. He returned full circle to his childhood passion when he began sculpting dinosaurs for Schleich. Throughout his career, Erik has been driven by his love for art and his desire to create unique and memorable projects.
